WHERE IT IS

"TINNER'S BARN, ST JUST"

Tinner's Barn is a lovely, cosy, granite barn conversion full of character and tucked away in the centre of the pretty town of St Just right on the edge of the Atlantic. It’s the perfect bolthole for two and ideally suited for those wanting to explore this beautiful and magical corner of Cornwall and it's only 15 minutes walk from the South West Coastal path.

location

The whole town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and surrounded by wild moors and dramatic coastline. If feeling energetic try exploring the stunning Tinner’s Way running along the coast from Cape Cornwall all the way to St Ives. It’s an ancient route from the Bronze Age and where the tin and copper ore was transported along the way from St Just to Hayle

St Just is a friendly town that feels lost in time with an array of great local shops, a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic walks from the doorstep. Sennen with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Potheras, a hidden and stunning locals cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.

LIVING

Walking in through the door you enter the cosy open-plan living area. It's a gorgeous space, perfectly furnished with comfort and relaxation at the forefront. Sink into the armchairs, get the wood burner on and cosy up in front of the fire after a day of exploring the Far West.

cooking & eating

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking a feast. You could prepare anything from a round of toast to a Sunday roast. Dine in the bijou sitting area with easy chairs in front of the fire, or use the pull out table and set a romantic dinner for two.

BATHING

There is a modern en suite shower room. Towels and bedding are provided for you, just remember to bring your own beach towels.

Verity. L - May 2021

“We had a lovely break staying at Tinners Barn in St Just. The barn is very well thought out given the space with so many great touches that make a really homely stay. The kitchen facilities are brilliant and we loved sitting by the fire in the evenings. Great location for walking from the barn. Fully recommend.”

Simon. B - October 2020

"This was our first break together this year and aimed at celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary...The Barn was a lovey cosy place to seek refuge after some bracing coastal walks along the west coast of Cornwall and some stunning scenery (desire the wind and rain!) There was nothing we could want for, St Just town supplied great food (The Square Deli) and much deserved few drinks by a roaring fire in the Kings Arms. All three of us (pup came with us) were cosy and comfortable in The Barn - would definitely recommend!"
