"Super cute place to stay. Has everything you’ll need. Ideal for a couple for a romantic get away. Lots of lovely long walks within driving distance and some local shorter ones too. Plenty of amenities with shops and pubs and cafes. Lovely and clean. Communication was excellent from the outset and continued throughout. Lots of information provided. A lovely little place to stay!"

“We had a lovely break staying at Tinners Barn in St Just. The barn is very well thought out given the space with so many great touches that make a really homely stay. The kitchen facilities are brilliant and we loved sitting by the fire in the evenings. Great location for walking from the barn. Fully recommend.”

Simon. B - October 2020

"This was our first break together this year and aimed at celebrating our fifth wedding anniversary- despite Storm Alex hitting during our stay, The Barn was a lovey cosy place to seek refuge at the end of every wet and windy day! After some bracing coastal walks along the west coast of Cornwall and some stunning scenery (desire the wind and rain!) There was nothing we could want for, St Just town supplied great food (The Square Deli) and much deserved few drinks by a roaring fire in the Kings Arms. All three of us (pup came with us) were cosy and comfortable in The Barn - would definitely recommend!"

David. M - June 2019

"This property is a little gem of a place. Clean cosy and just perfect for a couple. We enjoyed our time. We purposely chose this side of Cornwall in order to avoid the hustle and bustle of st ives , but also gave us the option of driving there ( 30 mins ). Sebastian was communicative and always on hand to answer questions. Do note once you pay Seb emails you with all the instructions you need. If there’s a gap between your booking date and actual stay , it’s worth revisiting this email with instructions. Couldn’t have faulted our stay. Easily our best get away in England. Nice, relaxing, locals are friendly, awesome Warrens Bakery. What more can you ask for. P.s- driving is an added bonus so you enjoy the area to its fullest."

Gary. D - May 2019

“This is a perfect bolt hole for two. Centrally located in St Just. Close to the free car park, shops and pubs. Loved it.”

Andy. H - March 2019

"This is a gem of a place. Stay here if you can! We came for Christmas last year and were delighted to return. The barn is cosy and warm, close to amenities but also quiet. Loved being able to run down to the sea and along the coast path in the mornings. And Sebastian is always on hand should anything be needed. Thanks for the warm welcome. Hope to be back!"

WHERE IT IS

"TINNER'S BARN, ST JUST"

Tinner's Barn is a lovely, cosy, granite barn conversion full of character and tucked away in the centre of the pretty town of St Just right on the edge of the Atlantic. It’s the perfect bolthole  for two and ideally suited for those wanting to explore this beautiful and magical corner of Cornwall and it's only 15 minutes walk from the South West Coastal path.

location

The whole town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and surrounded by wild moors and dramatic coastline. If feeling energetic try exploring the stunning Tinner’s way running along the coast from Cape Cornwall all the way to St Ives. It’s an ancient route from the Bronze age and where the tin and copper ore was transported along the way from St Just to Hayle

St Just is a friendly town that feels lost in time with an array of great local shops, a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic walks from the doorstep. Sennen with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Potheras, a hidden and stunning locals cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.

LIVING

Walking in through the door you enter the cosy open-plan living area. It's a gorgeous space, perfectly furnished with comfort and relaxation at the forefront. Sink into the armchairs, get the woodburner on and cosy up in front of a film after a day of exploring the Far West.

cooking and eating

The kitchen is fully equipped for cooking a feast. You could prepare anything from a round of toast to a Sunday roast. Dine in the bijou sitting area with easy chairs in front of the fire, or use the pull out table and set a romantic dinner for two.

sleeping

The gorgeous bedroom is on the upper floor, with a comfortable double bed and en suite shower room. You are guaranteed a restful night in this airy, calming room. The wardrobe is perfect

BATHING

There is a modern en suite shower room. Towels and bedding are provided for you, just remember to bring your own beach towels.

Garden

The door in the living area leads you to the sweet, fully enclosed, private garden. There's a table and chairs perfect for taking breakfast al fresco or enjoying a cream tea in the afternoon sun.

USEFUL TO KNOW….

HEATING: There is an electric heater in the sitting room which is  simple to use and works well.

PARKING: There's plenty of free parking in St Just and the towns free main car park is only a minute or two away.

WIFI: There is free wi-fi at Tinner’s Barn. As always this far West distances to the exchange and weather can slow things up and it can occasionally go down. There is reasonable 3/4G on most networks for checking emails if this happens.

ACCESSIBILITY: You can’t park outside but you can get close to drop off. The bedroom is on the first floor with steep stairs up so may not be suitable for those with limited mobility but always check with us first.

PETS: This is a dog friendly cottage and your four legged friend can holiday here too for a small charge of £35.00. The far west is brilliant for dogs.
