"Tregiffian Barn, Gwenver"

This stunning barn conversion blends the best of a traditional barn with all the luxuries of modern life. To make the most of the views out towards the Scilly Isles and the Longships Lighthouse the living space is upstairs, while the three comfortable, calming bedrooms are on the ground floor.

Set above Gwenver beach in the small hamlet of Tregiffian there are spectacular beaches and coastal walks on the doorstep. Explore West Cornwall and further afield, with Sennen, The Minack Theatre and Lands End all being within walking distance.

The property is well equipped and you can watch the sun go down in luxurious comfort at any time of year. With a great lawn, outdoor seating and a large sunny paved area the outside space is perfect for enjoying a barbeque on a summers evening when it’s just too good to be inside. There’s even the benefit of parking.

With spectacular views and a spacious living space Tregiffian Barn is the ideal family holiday or relaxed couple’s retreat in the Far West of Cornwall.

Tregiffian Veor is a small hamlet of converted farm buildings and cottages set high above Gwenver. It’s a dramatic area in terms of beauty with some of the most spectacular coastal walks in West Cornwall on your doorstep. Sennen Cove is a short drive away with two great surf schools, beach bar and good local pub. Further afield it's an easy drive to Penzance, Mousehole and St Ives which are all worth a visit.

The generous open plan living area means that the family can be together whatever they're doing. The cook can keep an eye on the team, while they can offer words of wisdom and encouragement. The piece de resistance at Tregiffian Barn is the living room with its stunning views from the glazed gable end, and side windows. Watch the sun go down in luxurious comfort at any time of year.

cooking & Eating

Seat the family around the big dining table and look back over the day's adventures, then plan tomorrows. The kitchen has all you need to cook wonderful local produce, perhaps sourced from Sennen Farmer's Market. There's a fridge, dishwasher, Nespresso coffee machine and plenty more.

The fresh air makes sleep such a beautiful thing. At Tregiffian Barn the master bedroom has a king size bed with en suite shower room. Its large doors open out onto the patio garden. The second bedroom has twin beds and the third a generous single. There's a put-me-up bed for a sixth guest.

The family bathroom has a shower over the bath and the master bedroom has a cool en suite walk-in shower.

Tregiffian Barn has a large sunny paved patio area with a barbecue and seating. It also has a good lawn. The breeze is a regular companion this close to the sea, so the garden is set below the hedge level to offer shelter.

useful to know...

PARKING: There is parking for one car at Tregiffian Barn, two if you are (very) careful.

WI-FI: Wi-Fi is available.

PETS: Unfortunately, Tregiffian Barn does not permit pets. Many of our cottages are pet friendly though and in perfect locations to explore the west with your companion.

HEATING: The whole cottage is kept at a comfortable temperature by underfloor heating, and for chilly nights and winter then the wood burning stove brings cosy delight to this fantastic holiday home.

LINEN AND TOWELS: Bedding and towels are supplied, just please remember to bring your beach towels.

ACCESSIBILITY: The road leading to the barn is quite rutted. You will need to drive very slowly and would not be suitable for low slung vehicles. Parking is right outside the house. The bedrooms and bathroom are downstairs with a small step in through the front door and an internal flight of stairs leads you to the kitchen and living area, so it's probably not suitable for those with limited mobility but always check with us first.

This property is not wheelchair friendly and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. If this applies, please contact our booking office to discuss the properties potential suitability prior to confirming.

CHANGEOVER: Tregiffian Barn changeover is usually Friday for one week. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.
