MYN TEA, GWENVER
The balcony provides the picture-perfect place for sundowners to take in the views across the Atlantic and, on a clear day, further beyond to the Isles of Scilly. There’s no better place to spend a summer’s evening watching surfers in front of the sunset, or join them as the beach is so close. You can just about see the sea from the master bedroom while enjoying your morning cuppa.
Fantastic walks from the doorstep and Gwenver beach is dog friendly all year round! If you’re bringing your four-legged friend/s they will be in heaven.
With plenty of parking, a fire pit and outdoor seating, the secluded sunny garden is lovely for BBQs on a summer evening when it’s just too good to be inside.
Filled with light and spacious living spaces, Myn Tea is the ideal family holiday, romantic couple’s retreat and with the flexibility of the second bedroom, two couples or some friends.
LOCATION
Perfectly located in the quiet and secluded hamlet of Tregiffian, a ten-minute walk to Gwenver beach, Myn Tea is private and away from it all, yet places are within easy reach for exploring further afield. With so many attractions in the Far West it is a great place to explore from and return to.
This cottage is just a short walk from the beautiful surfing beach of Gwenver, which is a quieter beach around the corner from popular Sennen Cove. The busy towns of St Ives and Penzance are both a short drive, and some of the best beaches in the country are nearby.
It's designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and makes an amazing location for family holidays or romantic breaks all year round.
The mining areas of Cornwall are UNESCO World Heritage sites and offer an insight into the life of our ancestors.
This countryside inspired such authors as Daphne Dumorier, Rosemund Pilcher and more recently Patrick Gale. The art colonies nearby are famous from such greats as Barbara Helpworth, Stanhope Forbes and even Mark Rothko.
LIVING
Myn Tea was designed to optimise the social space. Its 38-foot-long upstairs living, dining, and kitchen area is filled with light and offers captivating views across the fields and out to sea. A reverse living cottage the living space is on the first floor with the bedrooms and bathroom on the ground floor.
Comfort is important to us, and here you'll find two big sofas to sink back into. The sweetest wood burner will make autumn and winter nights something to look forward to, while the big balcony is the perfect place for a sundowner at the end of an exciting day of exploration.
COOKING & EATING
At Myn Tea aspiring chefs can have the fun of a well-equipped kitchen while staying in touch with family and friends in the open plan living space. Enjoy the views whilst washing up!
There's an electric oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher and the all important coffee machine for your morning cuppa.

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING...
“We had a truly wonderful stay — one of the nicest accommodations we’ve ever experienced. The view from the lounge was absolutely stunning, and we were lucky enough to enjoy a week of continuous blue skies and sunshine. Having breakfast each morning with the sparkling water as a backdrop was simply magical. The cottage was spotless and beautifully presented, with every detail thoughtfully provided for. We wanted for nothing during our stay. A special highlight was the outdoor shower off the double room — it brought a smile to my face every morning! We couldn’t recommend this place more highly and are already looking forward to returning.”

“Lovely house in a great location”
Joy – September 2023
“We enjoyed a wonderful time in this beautiful ‘surf house’. The view from the upper living room is breathtaking and the beach, which is a nice short 10-15min walk is just amazing (and not as crowded as Sennen beach nearby). We had a lovely time with our kids and will definitely come back! We already miss the house and Cornwall :)”
Tobias – August 2023
