MERMAID, MARAZION

New for 2026.

Mermaid enjoys an enviable position overlooking one of Cornwall's most iconic vistas, where the ever-changing waters of Mount's Bay stretch out before you and the majestic silhouette of St Michael's Mount takes centre stage. Nestled on the outskirts of Marazion, this beautifully appointed one-bedroom (all on one level) retreat offers an unforgettable coastal escape for couples looking to slow down, switch off and soak up the scenery.

Whether you're exploring the South West Coast Path, strolling into Marazion for a leisurely lunch or simply relaxing with a glass of wine as the tide ebbs and flows around the Mount, Mermaid is a place where time seems to slow and the beauty of the Cornish coast takes centre stage.

LOCATION

Mermaid is located at the very bottom of a steep private lane on the outskirts of Marazion. Or the top end as the locals like to call it! There’s plenty of things to do in Marazion, take a stroll through the town and stop off for a relaxing drink or snack at one of the cafes or pubs. Browse the art galleries that are packed with local work or choose a gift to take home from one of the stunning gift shops.

For a truly restorative coastal experience, make time to visit the pop up beachside Cinder Sauna located on Marazion Beach (certain days and times do apply) Warm yourself in the wood-fired sauna before taking an invigorating dip in the clear waters of Mount's Bay—there are few better ways to embrace the Cornish coastline.

It’s a perfect spot for touring the wider West Cornwall too. The very popular St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Sennen all in easy reach. Slightly further, and well worth a visit, Lands End, Cape Cornwall and The Lizard are all within a 30ish minute drive. We also recommend the historic harbour of Porthleven a few miles to the East which is fast becoming a go to foodie and gallery destination.

Flooded with natural light from the large patio windows overlooking the garden, the open-plan living area is an airy space perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Sink into the comfortable sofa or cosy up on the slider chair and choose between the garden views or catch up on a box set or movie on the smart TV. Tucked away from the main living space is a separate room with a desk, offering a peaceful spot to catch up on a little work, pen a postcard or simply sit with a morning coffee and your journal. Whether you're answering a few emails or enjoying a quiet moment with a good book, it's a lovely space to retreat to during your stay.
