LOCATION
Brayside is located just off the main road in the hamlet of Kelynack, perfectly positioned between the characterful town of St Just and the dramatic cliffs of Land’s End. This is a wonderful spot for discovering the wild beauty of West Cornwall, with the South West Coast Path within easy reach for breath-taking walks and the golden sands of Sennen Beach just a 10-minute drive away – ideal for lazy beach days, surfing, or sunset strolls.
The nearby market town of St Just is full of local character and charm, with independent shops, several pubs, welcoming cafés, and even a handy little supermarket – everything you need for a relaxed and enjoyable stay.
Brayside is also perfectly placed for exploring both the rugged north coast and the picturesque west, offering a fantastic base for discovering hidden coves, sweeping bays, and postcard-perfect villages. Whether you're seeking adventure, relaxation, or a bit of both, this corner of Cornwall has it all.
LIVING
Spend snug afternoons and evenings in the sitting room, complete with a Smart TV for family film nights and a beautiful wood burner (a basket of logs will be supplied from October until April) for those chillier evenings. Wooden beams and a glass mezzanine offer a Scandi inspired ambience to this decadent retreat. The heart of the home, this beautiful kitchen and dining space is designed for togetherness, laughter, and those long, delicious meals you never quite find time for in everyday life. The fresh, white kitchen is as stylish as it is practical, fully equipped with all the modern touches – four ring induction hob, electric oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, and that much needed dishwasher -after all who wants to wash up when they are on holiday.
This generous space feels bright and uplifting – a place where cooking becomes a pleasure, not a chore. Whether you're rustling up a simple brunch or preparing a celebratory feast, you’ll find everything you need. And for those extra-special occasions, we’d be delighted to connect you with one of our trusted local caterers – think Cornish flavours, beautifully presented, without lifting a finger.
At the centre of it all, a chunky wooden dining table comfortably seats eight and invites long dinners, shared stories, and maybe a glass or two of wine. And for gentler mornings, the breakfast bar is just the spot to enjoy a slow coffee and ease into the day.
SLEEPING
At The Cornish Way we're out in the fresh air as often as we can be, and perhaps that's why we so love a great night's sleep. All the wonderful beds were chosen to offer a great sleep.
Master bedroom - The dreamy master king bedroom is located on the first floor it has an en suite bathroom and makes for a very restful stay.
You'll find two further bedrooms on the ground floor. .
Bedroom two - offers wonderful flexibility, featuring a zip-and-link bed that can be set up as a sumptuous super- king or two perfectly cosy singles—ideal for families, friends, or anyone who loves options!
Bedroom three - is perfect for the kids with two single beds.
With warm, soothing décor and an ambiance designed for comfort, these three restful retreats promise a blissful stay.
BATHING
At Brayside bathing becomes a blissful ritual rather than just a routine.
The master bedroom on the first floor boasts a spacious en-suite bathroom, a true sanctuary of relaxation. Step into the walk-in shower for an invigorating start to your morning, or sink into the deep, freestanding bath. Here, every soak is a moment of pure indulgence.
Meanwhile, on the ground floor, the large family shower room awaits— where warm water cascades in a luxurious embrace, washing away the cares of the day.
OUTSIDE
At Brayside a lovely private garden and patio awaits with a number of places to relax and follow the sunny spots. There is a table and chairs which is ideal for al fresco suppers or lazy lunches.
USEFUL TO KNOW...
PARKING: there are two private parking spaces for Brayside which are located immediately in front of the chapel.
WI-FI: Free broadband means you can stay connected.
MOBILE SIGNAL: We recommend adding Wi-Fi calling to your mobile before you arrive, as there is limited mobile signal.
HEATING: There is underfloor in the kitchen and both bathrooms. There are radiators throughout the chapel, and of course the large wood burner that will have you wishing for a chilly evening.
PETS: Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coastal paths for exploring. Two well-behaved dogs are welcome at Brayside at £35 each per week/short break. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy paws before they come in.
LITTLE ONES: There is a highchair and stair gate available for your use.
LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.
UTILITY: There is a washing machine in the utility room and you’ll also have a clothes airier, ironing board and iron.
ACCESSIBILITY: Brayside is located just off the main road which can get busy during the day so children and dogs must be supervised at all times. On the first floor there is a glass mezzanine which overlooks part of the dining area, please supervise children at all times in this area.
This property is not wheelchair friendly and may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. If this applies, please contact our booking office to discuss the properties potential suitability prior to confirming. Children should always be supervised by a responsible adult if using the outside areas.
CHANGEOVER DAY: Changeover is usually on a Friday. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.
