It is the hub of this house with a large Rangemaster, sociable breakfast bar and everything you need to entertain. There is plenty of space with a separate living room and dining room and the additional snug room with a daybed on the ground floor can be a third bedroom, second TV room or a place to work from home. The Farmhouse is a homely escape for families or two couples or enjoy the space for just the two of you. It is perfect for those looking to enjoy time together tucked away from the hustle and bustle but within easy reach of the places you are looking to explore. Close to Marazion and Penzance, known as the gateway to far west Cornwall, you have so much to explore from here. With the wood burner and underfloor heating throughout it is a great place throughout the year. Book with Champagne Cottage next door to sleep 8 plus one for extended families or an extra couple.
Entering the house into the kitchen, the stairs lead you to the first floor and the living room and dining room lead off separately with the living room to the front looking out to the garden. The breakfast bar provides a sociable place to be together to prepare for those indulgent brunches and nights in. The kitchen leads out to the large garden which is ideal for little ones to play and dogs to run around. The two comfortable bedrooms are on the first floor and are furnished with modern style and luxury touches. One has an en suite shower room and there is a large family bathroom with a slipper bath, separate walk-in shower and two sinks. On the ground floor is a ‘snug’ room off the dining area with a desk and daybed and can be used as a third bedroom on request. There is a desk in here for those looking for a separate space to work from home.
The Farmhouse has lots of space with separate living and dining rooms, plus the snug room which can be used as a TV room. The living room is a great place to play games and enjoy films, leading off from the kitchen little ones can be supervised whilst dinner is prepared. For those looking for a larger house it can be booked with Champagne Cottage next door to sleep up to 6 (plus 1) guests. The dining table can comfortably seat six and with the separate living room there is space for extended families or three couples to book together.Being close to Marazion you have great beaches and towns nearby. St Michael’s Way, a Cornish pilgrimage from Marazion to St Ives, is a great day out for keen walkers. Marazion beach is a 30-40 minute walk and there are walks to enjoy from the doorstep.
Located on a farm that manages horses, The Farmhouse is perfectly placed in a rural setting with the benefit of an easy drive out to explore and enjoy west Cornwall. The area is a world heritage site and surrounded by stunning countryside and coast.
Although tucked away, The Farmhouse is only five minute drive to Marazion and its glorious beach. Travelling East it is under ten minutes to Perranuthnoe, a pretty cove with the award-winning Victoria Inn and a little further Praa Sands with laid back beach bar and fantastic surf.
It’s a perfect spot for touring the wider West Cornwall too and St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Sennen are all in easy reach as well as Porthleven to the East which is a go to foodie destination.
Looking out to the garden and leading off from the kitchen, the large living room has two very comfortable sofas and extra floor cushions for little ones. It’s a great room for nights in and gathering the family together for a film night in front of the large wall-mounted TV.
The wood burner in the corner will keep you toasty if you are staying out of season and makes The Farmhouse a great escape during the cooler months and ideal for Christmas and new year holidays.
The snug is a room off the dining room which offers a second TV room, working from home desk space or a bedroom.
COOKING & EATING
The hub of this home, the kitchen is a sociable space with a breakfast bar in the centre for extra hands to assist with preparing feasts. Finished to a high standard the space is softened with locally sourced wooden work tops and shelving.
There is a dual fuel Rangemaster with two electric ovens, grill and large 6 burner gas hob as well as a microwave. The kitchen flows into the dining room where you’ll find additional cupboard space, a large fridge freezer and a dining table seating 6, perfect for any occasion.
The central island unit with barstools creates a wonderfully social space for cooking up that banquet there isn’t time for at home and there is space for many hands to help. Or if you’d like an evening off or special event catered for do ask, we have some excellent contacts.
There are two bedrooms (one en-suite) and the family bathroom is on the first floor. On the ground floor off the dining room is the snug which is available on request to sleep an additional person.
MASTER BEDROOM: A wooden framed king-size bed to indulge in those long mornings in, open the window to the garden and enjoy the bird song in the spring. There are bedside tables, a large wardrobe, a chest of drawers and a dressing table. The family bathroom is next door.
SECOND BEDROOM: A zip & link bed, this room can be made up as a king or twins, you choose! There are bedside tables and a chest of drawers for you to unpack and there is the luxury of the shower en-suite with this room. There is plenty of space for a cot in this room too.SNUG: Leading off the dining room, is the snug where you will find a daybed that can be used to accommodate a fifth person on request, or provide more flexibility with two children having their own rooms. There is a TV in here and a desk.
FAMILY BATHROOM: Relax after a long day exploring the coast in the luxurious family bathroom complete with an indulgent slipper bath with shower attachment, separate waterfall shower, WC and twin basin vanity.
The second bedroom has an en suite waterfall shower, WC and basin.
SHORT BREAKS & 'JUST FOR TW0' DISCOUNT
SHORT BREAKS: Short breaks are available for a minimum of three nights outside of school holidays with flexible changeover days. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.
'JUST FOR TWO' DISCOUNT: If benefitting from the 'just for two' discount only the gorgeous super king master bedroom will be fully made up.

PARKING: There’s plenty of parking available outside the cottage.
ELECTRIC CARS: A dedicated EV charging point for sole use by The Farmhouse on request (a minimal charge will apply).
WI-FI: Fast Wi-Fi (Up to 17MB) broadband means you can stay connected.
HEATING: With underfloor heating throughout and a wood burner in the living room you will be toasty throughout the cooler months.
PETS: One well-behaved dog is welcome at £35 per week/short break.
Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in.
LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.
UTILITY: There is a washing machine, airer, iron and ironing board.
ACCESSIBILITY: There is an internal staircase within the property as well as 2 steps up to the dining room from the kitchen so it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or young children but do check with us prior to booking. There are also four steps up from the backdoor.
