TIDE VIEW, MARAZION

This gorgeous one bedroom property has spectacular sea and countryside views from its stunning open plan reception room.

Tide View offers a calming feeling of light and space as soon as you enter. It's a spacious first floor apartment and a place to relax in comfort and luxury, ticking so many of the “must haves” to enjoy your perfect Cornish break. Moments from the golden sands of Marazion’s beach and the iconic St Michael’s Mount you can sit with your morning coffee taking in the dreamy views. As the name suggests, you can look out to sea and check the tides from each room so all you need to do is decide whether it's a beach walk, swim or a stroll or boat ride over to the Mount.

With the privacy of its own front door Tide View has been completely refurbished and offers a stylish base, perfect for couples. Peacefully tucked away in the heart of Marazion this sought after seaside town is on your doorstep with all it has to offer whether it’s the beach, St Michaels Mount, the nature reserve, eateries, galleries, gift shops, famous Cornish Philps Pasty shop to name but a few of its delights, all within a couple of minutes’ walk. If venturing further afield it's a short drive to so many popular destinations like St Ives, Penzance, Porthleven and Mousehole to name a few. For fans of water sports you are spoilt for choice and Mounts Bay is simply the perfect spot for it. Bring your Kayak or SUP and you can wheel it down to the beach for days pottering on the water. There are also a couple of local Kitesurfing schools and a sailing club all operating walking distance from Tide View.

The wonderful open plan living area is great for evenings in and the balcony is the perfect spot for alfresco dining while looking out to sea. The large bedroom has a super-king sized bed (it's zip & link and can be separated into two singles on request) and the modern shower room really gives a sense of luxury. In arguably the best position in this tucked away, residential location there are private steps up to your own front door and there is residents parking outside where available. Tide View is the perfect spot come summer or winter and the owners have put so much into making this a special place to stay - you will find it hard not to enjoy your Cornish escape.

LOCATION

Marazion is well known for the spectacular St Michael’s Mount where you can walk along the causeway at low tide or catch a boat from Marazion. St Michael's is a real-life fairy-tale castle, still lived in by the St Aubyn family and managed by the National Trust.

There’s plenty of things to do in Marazion, take a stroll through the town and stop off for a relaxing drink or snack at one of the cafes or pubs. Browse the art galleries that are packed with local work or choose a gift to take home from one of the stunning gift shops.

Travelling East it is under ten minutes to Perranuthnoe, a pretty cove with the award-winning Victoria Inn and a choice of a couple of great cafes. Slightly further up the coast is Praa Sands with its gorgeous mile long golden sandy beach and laid back beach bar and fantastic surf.

It’s a perfect spot for touring the wider West Cornwall too. The very popular St Ives, Penzance, Mousehole and Sennen all in easy reach. Slightly further, and well worth a visit, Lands End, Cape Cornwall and The Lizard are all within a 30ish minute drive. We also recommend the historic harbour of Porthleven a few miles to the East which is fast becoming a go to foodie and gallery destination.

LIVING

Flooded with natural light from the large windows overlooking the private balcony, the open-plan living area is an airy space perfect for relaxing and unwinding. Sink into the large, comfortable sofa or cosy up on the swivel chair and choose between the bay views or the large Smart TV (No TV aerial) and flame effect electric wood burner. Enjoy a lazy evening in comfort and style watching the sun set from the balcony whilst looking out across to the beach and wider bay on those summer evenings when it’s just too good to be inside.

COOKING & EATING

The fabulous kitchen is open plan to the living space and is a spacious, calming area that any cooking aficionado will appreciate; fully equipped with everything needed to cook up a storm and finished to a high level of style. There is a Hotpoint oven and 4 ring induction hob, integrated under the counter fridge with a freezer compartment, microwave and a small dishwasher. There’s a washing machine in the kitchen and an airer, iron and ironing board in the bedroom cupboard.

SLEEPING

The gorgeous bedroom exudes style and comfort for a great night’s sleep. The zip & link bed can be made up as a super king or twins – you choose! Enjoy sea views with your morning cuppa as you look out across the beach and towards Penzance. "The place is just as described - comes with a view of St. Michael's mount and the beach. The house itself was clean and just as shown in the pictures. Great WiFi, all appliances worked, everything was simply perfect. The house guide, which had clear instructions, came in handy a few times. The house has lovely finishing touches and has a cosy beach vibe to it."
