THE SECRET GARDEN, PENZANCE
The Secret Garden is a charming one-bedroom apartment full of character, located on the garden floor of a Victorian end-of-terrace house. With its own private entrance and dedicated parking just a few minutes away, it provides a comfortable and cosy retreat for a memorable Cornish escape.
Tucked away beside the subtropical Morrab Gardens, the apartment enjoys an enviable location in the heart of historic Penzance. The promenade, seafront and town centre are all just a short stroll away, making it the perfect base from which to explore West Cornwall.
Combining lovely period features with a modern kitchen and a luxury bathroom, it is stylishly equipped with everything you need for a great holiday. Once parked up (5 minutes walk away) you can forget the car if you want, and just relax with everything needed for a great holiday close by. If you’re bringing your four-legged friend they will be in heaven and the enclosed courtyard garden is lovely for you to enjoy a BBQ on a summer evening when it’s just too good to be inside.
LOCATION
Located in the heart of this famous harbour town you are in one of the most sought-after enclaves in Penzance. The tucked away but central location is a short stroll from the popular Chapel Street and the high street and is situated perfectly for exploring the best the town and surrounding areas has to offer. The wonderful sub-tropical Morrab Gardens are right on your doorstep and the best local attractions, shops, galleries, bars, pubs and restaurants are all within walking distance. You can be in the oldest pub in Penzance, The Turks Head, dating from 1233, in a matter of minutes. Have a drink or a meal here and you’ll be stepping back in history, enjoying the same public house as pirates and smugglers did 750 years ago. Or walk along the seafront to the famous Jubilee Pool, the UK’s largest Art Deco seawater lido.
Penzance is the gateway to the Land’s End peninsula and in the far west of Cornwall nothing is far away. The fishing harbour of Newlyn is a 20-minute walk along the seafront promenade, and the quaint village of Mousehole is only a 10-minutes' drive away and also a lovely walk. Marazion, with the famous St. Michael’s Mount, is easy to walk or drive to. St. Ives is easily reached using the scenic rail line from Penzance station. Sennen Cove, The Minack Theatre in Porthcurno, and The Cornish Mining World Heritage Site on the north coast, are all an easy drive away too.
LIVING
You enter into the Victorian tiled hallway with the comfortable living room with a sofa (it’s a sofa bed and can be made up on request), armchair and dining table. It’s a great place to relax after a day’s adventures and there’s a large-screen smart only TV and a selection of books to choose from. The original timber sash window, with wooden shutters, has a window seat, the perfect place to enjoy the view to the pretty garden.

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING...
"Lovely place ,your laminated instructions were great so useful to have them by the items rather than have to keep referring to a folder. Directions to property were clear & easy to follow - thanks. Thank you for the milk , juice, butter & croissants so nice to have the necessities for tea & coffee & breakfast. It is a lovely place, we visit the area yearly and although we have started in nice places this is the only one where we both said we would like to come back here. So hope to visit again."
