THE S'NOOK, ST JUST

The S’nook is a characterful, detached one-bedroom barn conversion hidden away in the heart of the charming town of St Just. Set behind a five-bar gate with a lovely private patio garden it’s the perfect retreat from where to explore this glorious area and coastline.

The modern reverse level accommodation is spacious with a bright open plan living room on the first floor. Its vaulted ceilings and a Juliet balcony overlooking the garden make it a lovely space to relax in. The bedroom has a huge super king size bed and is sure to give a restful sleep after days out exploring.

We are dog friendly too and with a fully enclosed garden there’s no need to worry if yours is an escape artist. Although after days out walking the South West coast path or enjoying the beaches and villages dotted around, we are sure they will be too tired to try!

LOCATION

The attractive town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and framed by some of the most dramatic coastline in Cornwall. It’s a quirky and friendly town that feels lost in time with a host of great local shops, a deli, butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. There are a couple of cafes too and the Dog and Rabbit behind the post office does great breakfasts and lunches with log fires and comfy sofas. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular walks which you can reach within a ten-minute(ish) stroll from the doorstep.

We are spoilt for beaches too. Sennen with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Portheras, a hidden and stunning local’s cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount or St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.

LIVING

The first-floor living room is flooded with light and open plan to the kitchen. There is a two-seater sofa and an extra little snug sitting area under the TV, perfect for curling up and reading a book. Doors open up to a Juliet balcony which overlooks the gardens. There is a small flat screen TV and dining table with four chairs.

COOKING & EATING

It’s a spacious kitchen area and a social space open plan to the sitting room and dining area. There’s plenty of cupboard space as well as a fridge, microwave, electric oven and hob and washing machine.

SLEEPING

The bedroom is on the ground floor and overlooks the patio. There are fitted wardrobes and a super king size bed which can split to provide two full sized single beds. You decide.

BATHING

Next to the bedroom on the ground floor is a modern shower room with an electric shower, WC and basin.

OUTSIDE

The cottage is accessed via a five-bar gate which leads through to a pretty private patio area. The perfect spot for al fresco meals.

WHAT GUESTS ARE SAYING...

“We’ve had a fantastic short break at The S’Nook. A perfect, peaceful little hideaway for two. Very private and well equipped. As the weather wasn’t kind to us, we didn’t get a chance to use the lovely outside seating area but we were extremely comfortable in the little upside down house. Everything was very clean. The bedding and towels were top quality. The coffee, tea, milk and biscuits were very welcome. The S’Nook is ideally situated to explore this beautiful area of Cornwall and St Just is a bustling, friendly little town with lots of traditional pubs, cafes, a small supermarket etc. - all within a short stroll of the property. We will be back. Highly recommended.”

Helen – October 2024

“Lovely little cottage. Ideal for the two of us. Nicely designed interior, well equipped kitchen, very warm. Roomy shower room. Great base for exploring amazing coastal features and a short ride into Penzance and Newlyn, so we enjoyed the incredible Jubilee Pool and cooked fresh fish every evening!”

Basil – September 2024

“The S'nook was absolutely delightful. A gorgeous little barn tucked away in a peaceful, yet well-stocked Cornish village. The accommodation had everything we needed - large super king size bed; great shower; light, bright living space; and a little sun trap of a courtyard that was perfect for barbeques. Great communication from The Cornish Way too. I highly recommend The S'nook in its beautiful little corner of Cornwall, and would love to return.”

Jenny – August 2024

“Lovely upside-down house with a pretty courtyard, just perfect for 2 people. The house is comfortable and equipped with everything you could need.”

Rebecca – August 2024

“We had a lovely stay at the S’nook while exploring Cornwall for a few days. A great little spot which accommodated our dog too! Fantastic beaches and coastal paths within a short walk/drive. Lots of detailed information was provided in advance for the property and local area. Thank you very much for our stay!”
