A Private terrace gave way to the exceptional front line coastal views and the attention to detail and the cleanliness of the apartment was genius, nothing was missing. There was a superb parking spot right in front of the  apartment, (this was a major bonus to the whole experience) and I cannot recommend the Cubby hole highly enough and our hosts The Cornish Way."

WHERE IT IS

A stunning two bedroom apartment positioned front line to the award winning Sennen cove with sublime sea views from the majority of rooms it’s only a minute’s walk onto one of Cornwall's finest beaches. Set across the entire ground floor with is own front door there is the rare advantage of private parking right outside, add to that a decked private patio to take in those views and it doesn't get much better for the perfect Cornish holiday.

The Cubby Hole has been refurbished just in time for the 2018 summer and the spacious main main living space is a wonderful open plan area great for social evenings in and a dining area set by the main window is a perfect spot to plan the day over breakfast as you look out to sea. Through the modern kitchen, the sitting room is full of character and style with a wood burning stove for cosy nights in. whether coming for a surf break, a family holiday or a plain old getway from the busy world the Cubby hole is the perfect spot come summer or winter.

The main bedroom has a king sized bed perfectly placed to take in the views and drift off to the sound of the sea. The second bedroom can be made up as two small singles or a king size, You decide. There is a great shower room full of character and the decked patio outside is a lovely spot to watch the world go by.

this attractive double fronted cottage was skilfully converted into only two and although front line to Sennen cove it’s one of the only properties on this stretch set back behind a large turning area. It gives it a real feeling of being tucked away without losing any of the wonderful vistas!


LOCATION

Sennen Cove was recently voted by the Times in the top five beaches in the UK. Come here and you will see why. It's an expanse of glorious white sand and offers some of the best surfing in Cornwall. Gwenver beach next to it can be accessed at low tide or you can walk the coast path around and its dog friendly all year. For a beach holiday it doesn't get much better but it's not all about sun sea and surf. Head East or West from the Cubby Hole and you are on the South West Coast Path and can enjoy some of the most dramatic coastal walks in the country.

For eating the village of Sennen has a great pub, the Old Success, a cafe, fish and chips and the large Ben Tunnicliffe beach bar/Restaurant overlooking the Cove. At the top of the village is a spar supermarket and on Tuesdays don't miss the fantastic Sennen farmers market. Ten minutes away the lovely Market town of St Just has a deli, two butchers a Co op and a variety of independent shops and galleries. This area is in so many ways untouched by modern life and the far west is much loved for its untamed raw beauty. The Cubby Hole takes in so much of what this magical place has to offer. From the crashing waves of the Atlantic, the dramatic cliffs, stretches of golden sand and some of the best surfing in Cornwall, it’s all on your doorstep for a fantastic holiday.


LIVING/COOKING/EATING

The front stable door leads into a large hallway down to the rear bedroom and shower room with the main bedroom and living room off the entrance on either side.

The impressive open plan living area is spacious and it's a special space. Modern yet retaining plenty of character it's a great room to curl up in front of a roaring fire or have a meal taking in the breathtaking views across the Atlantic. The dining table sits four comfortably and the modern kitchen has plenty of space to cook up a feast and is equipped with a washer/dryer, Dishwasher, electric oven/hob and a microwave. The sitting area has two squidgy two seater leather sofas, a large flat screen TV and wood burning stove.


SLEEPING/BATHING

The refurbished bedrooms have luxury beds and pocket sprung mattresses in both. The main bedroom with a picture window looking towards the ocean has a king-sized bed, a large fitted wardrobe and a chest of drawers. The rear bedroom has a large skylight, a king sized bed which can be made up as 2’6 twins on request and a small wardrobe/chest of drawers. The quirky shower room is situated off the hall, it's full of character and has a large built in shower enclosure, WC and basin.


OUTSIDE

To the left of the apartment is a private parking space for one car and we can't emphasise enough what an advantage this is particularly in high season. To the right of the front door in front of the living room window is a lovely decked patio area with a large garden table and four chairs. 


GOOD TO KNOW

WIFI: There is free WiFi in the apartment

HEATING: Heating and hot water are fed from an electric boiler in the main bedroom

PARKING: There’s private parking on the drive for one car.

ACCESSIBILITY: The apartment is across the ground floor with one step in. Parking is right outside the house,

PETS: One dog is most welcome at the Cubby Hole at £25 per week.

SHORT BREAKS: Short breaks are available outside the peak weeks with a minimum 3 night stay and flexible changeover. Don’t worry if you need to book dates that don’t quite fit, just call or email and we will do our best to make it work.
