CAMOMILE COTTAGE, ST JUST
Couples and small families will love this lovingly restored cottage for a relaxing holiday or active break. There’s an open plan living and dining room leading through to the adjoining kitchen downstairs. Open the back door and you’ll find a lovely sun-trap patio and a surf shower perfect for washing sandy toes and storing surfboards. Upstairs there is a large family shower room and two comfortable bedrooms. Camomile Cottage is the ideal family holiday or relaxed couple’s retreat in the Far West of Cornwall.
LOCATION
The whole town of St Just is a UNESCO world heritage site and surrounded by wild moors and dramatic coastline. If feeling energetic try exploring the stunning Tinner’s Way running along the coast from Cape Cornwall all the way to St Ives. It’s an ancient route from the Bronze Age and where the tin and copper ore were transported along the way from St Just to Hayle
St Just is a friendly town that feels lost in time with an array of great local shops, a deli, a butcher, four pubs and a small local supermarket for your everyday needs. Surrounding the town are the most spectacular stretches of coastline and fantastic walks from the doorstep. Sennen with its glorious surfing beach is ten minutes away as is Portheras, a hidden and stunning local’s cove. Travelling further east within twenty minutes you can be in Marazion with its fabulous beach overlooking the famous St Michaels Mount, St Ives, Mousehole and Penzance.
LIVING & DINING
Entering the cottage there is a useful hallway providing storage for coats and boots. The living area has beautiful exposed granite with an inglenook fireplace featuring the toasty wood burner. In season we will leave you enough logs to get you going for a night or two. The comfortable sofas are perfect for relaxing in front of the fire or gathering everyone together for an evening film on the LCD TV with surround sound.
COOKING & EATING
Adjoining the living area is a bright and modern kitchen that looks out over the patio. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything you need to cook up a feast and more. There is a Lamona 4 ring hob and oven, washing machine, fridge/freezer and microwave oven.
The dining area is open plan to the living room and has comfortable seating for six with a large dining table perfect for gathering everyone together after a busy day on the coast and reminiscing on the day's adventure.
SLEEPING
There are two comfortable bedrooms on the first floor, at the front of the house and decorated with calming and coastal colours for a restful night’s sleep.
Bedroom 1 has a double bed, wardrobe, bedside tables, lamps and drawers for storing your clothes.
Bedroom 2 has a 3ft single trundle bed and a chest of drawers. This bed can be pulled out to sleep 2 on request and is perfect for younger ones.
BATHING
Relax after a long day exploring in the luxury shower room. There’s a great double sized walk-in electric shower, WC, basin and mirror. There is also a socket for shaving or charging your toothbrush and a heated towel rail.
OUTSIDE
USEFUL TO KNOW...
PARKING: There is free on street parking along Cape Cornwall Street where available and you can pull up outside to unload if needed. The free St Just Town car park is only a minute away.
WI-FI: There is Wi-Fi at Camomile Cottage. As always this far West distances to the exchange and weather can slow things up and it can occasionally go down. There is reasonable 3/4G on most networks for checking emails if this happens.
HEATING: There are modern electric radiators throughout and a wood burner in the living room.
PETS: One well-behaved dog is welcome at £35 per week/short break.
Far West Cornwall is doggie heaven! There’s plenty of beaches and coast paths for exploring. Please make sure they stay out of bedrooms and off the furniture and that you rub down muddy/sandy feet before they come in.
LINEN & TOWELS: You'll have bedding & towels but please bring your own beach towels.
UTILITY: There is a washing machine in the kitchen.
ACCESSIBILITY: Typical of Cornish cottages there are steep stairs up to the first floor. This means it may not be suitable for those with limited mobility or young children. Always contact us prior to booking if you have any questions or concerns on accessibility.

CHANGEOVER DAY: Changeover day is usually a Saturday. Short breaks are available for a minimum of three nights out of season. Do check with us if your dates don't quite fit as we will always try to help.
