"Chy kres, pendeen"

This stylish three-bedroom holiday home is set within a small terrace of three traditional, newly built cottages in the village of Pendeen. Chy Kres offers all the comforts of a modern home set against the backdrop of one of Cornwall's most dramatic stretches of coastline. It's the perfect base to explore this beautiful area and is perfectly positioned, tucked away but close to the local pubs, and shops as well as the gorgeous Portheras Cove, a little-known locals beach.

This is a really lovely cottage, with an air of calming tranquillity from the moment you step inside. Opening the front door, you are immediately led through the hall into the inviting open-plan sitting room and dining area. A room filled with natural light from the French doors that take you straight through to the private garden. The wooden floors, gorgeous dining table and squishy sofas exude luxury and there is a harmonious balance of homely comforts and sumptuously stylish interiors. Upstairs the two main bedrooms have been decorated with comfort and good night’s sleep at the forefront, with new high-quality bedding and beds you can sink into. For extra comfort there's the additional ‘snug’ room which can sleep an extra one or two - the perfect space to getaway for children and adults alike to relax and unwind with the stunning backdrop of the expansive countryside and old mining shafts.

With stunning coastal and countryside walks all on your doorstep, Chy Kres is the perfect place for a memorable Cornish escape.

Chy Kres is privately situated set up a lane close to the centre of village. Pendeen is set on the coastal road running from St just to St Ives and it’s a peaceful location surrounded by countryside with views out across the Atlantic. Often referred to as ‘Poldark country’ for its picturesque seascapes used as beautiful backdrops in the recent series, it is the ideal spot for those that want to see the rugged, untouched Cornwall. With plenty of space to really embrace and explore the outdoors this area is a walker’s paradise.

There are several lovely scenic walks to the stunning Portheras Cove, historic Pendeen Lighthouse, or slightly further is the popular surf beaches of Sennen and Gwenver - which could be mistaken for the Caribbean on a summer’s day. Heading out in the evening is easy with two traditional Cornish village pubs within walking distance: The North Inn and Radjel Inn. Both serve a great selection of drinks as well as good pub grub. Maria Chica’s is a local little eatery loved by locals for its fabulous tapas style dishes. Or if you fancy a night in head to Lil’s Chippy for a great fish and chips.

Hopping in the car and you’ll be in the UNESCO world heritage town of St Just within 10 minutes. Popular St Ives is less than thirty minutes away, as is Marazion with the breathtaking St Michael’s Mount.

The owners have thoughtfully decorated this space with a selected mixture of luxurious fittings and homely touches; there are cupboards full of holiday reads and DVDs stacked ready for cosy nights in. The living area is the central hub of the home with its wonderful blend of comfort and style. There’s plenty of space for everyone to chill out after a day of activities on the large corner chaise lounge or snuggle seat. Get everyone together for a night in with a movie, there’s a large Smart TV with Freeview so plenty of options to choose from.

“Super cottage - extremely clean and lovely and warm, which was very welcome after a day out in the Cornish winds! The most comfortable bed we've ever slept in in a holiday property too! Loved exploring the area - particular favourites were Mousehole Christmas lights, the Minack Theatre and Porthcurno beach. Fantastic seafood at The Mermaid restaurant in St Ives too. The perfect pre-Christmas family break. A great cottage and we hope to return one day. Many thanks.”
