WHERE IT IS

"FETCH, ST AGNES"

A delightful one-bedroom apartment with a pretty private garden and its own front door, set in the heart of St Agnes on one of its most sought-after roads. It’s been beautifully refurbished, with a stunning kitchen and luxury bathroom and makes the perfect retreat for two, whether coming to unwind, walk the magnificent coastline or enjoy the great local surf spots. You’re tucked away, but close to the area’s great local pubs, restaurants and shops and a lovely local beach.

After a day out exploring, enjoy a sundowner in the garden watching the world go by or get cosy with a book in front of the roaring log fire. We are dog friendly too so haven’t forgotten your four-legged friend, who will love the numerous walks along this stunning heritage coastline.

This really is a comfortable base to enjoy your Cornish escape from, and once parked up you can forget the car if you want, and just relax with everything needed for a great holiday close by. The bedroom has a king-sized bed overlooking the garden and the sitting room flows through to the gorgeous kitchen/dining room, perfect for cooking up a social meal. The bathroom really is special and with a freestanding bath and walk in shower, it feels more like a boutique hotel!

LOCATION

Fetch is situated in one of the most popular roads in St Agnes, and is a ten-minute ish walk down to the sea. If exploring further afield, this stretch of coast has some of Cornwall’s best beaches in easy reach, with Chapel Porth to the west and Perranporth to the East, so budding surfers will have their pick of some of the best spots in the county. For foodies you’re well served here, whether it’s a laid-back café to an upmarket eatery, you’re covered. There are plenty of great local shops from a butcher to a fruit and veg shop and the St Agnes bakery, a favourite with the Poldark film crew for their great Pasties. Wheal Kitty on the outskirts is a fashionable spot and has the Canteen which we recommend for a casual lunch. Some other top tips include The Tap House, Taste and of course The Driftwood Spars, famous for its beer. The Railway at the top of our road is great for a winter pint in front of the fire.

LIVING

Through the porch you enter the hallway which leads to the kitchen at the rear, with the sitting room and bedroom at the front overlooking the garden. The sitting room has a super comfy large sofa overlooking the fireplace and a study area for getting some work done or penning a postcard home. A large opening to the kitchen makes it all flow and feel more open plan.

EATING

The kitchen is fabulous and equipped with all you need to cook up a feast. At the centre is a dining table and it’s a great social space with a large hatch through to the sitting room. There is a dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, an induction hob and double electric cooker.

SLEEPING

The main bedroom is a comfortable space with a king-size bed, and wardrobe with shelves and hanging space.

BATHING

The luxurious bathroom is a lovely calm room and there’s a walk-in rain shower, a freestanding bath, basin, WC and heated towel rail. We’ll supply fluffy bath towels, just remember to bring your own beach towels.

OUTSIDE

You walk up to Fetch through a private gate into the pretty front garden with a table and chairs and it is a real sun trap.

USEFUL TO KNOW….

HEATING: Modern independent heaters keep Fetch nice and toasty and there is a large immersion for piping hot water. The fireplace in the sitting room will keep you cosy on cooler evenings.

PARKING: There's no formal parking but just up from Fetch are a couple of free spaces if you’re lucky. There is free parking along Rosemundy and further down there are often spaces along the wall in the second section of the road. Just always be mindful of allowing cars and public buses unrestricted access along the local roads. In peak times there is also a free village car park 5 minutes away and other spots around the village if you can’t find a space.

WIFI: There is free unlimited Wi-Fi at Fetch.

ACCESSIBILITY: Fetch has steps up to the front garden and into the porch. Once inside it’s all across the ground floor. There is a single step down into the bathroom.

PETS: West Cornwall is brilliant for dogs. One well-behaved dog is welcome at £25 per week/short break. Please make sure they stay off the furniture and that you rub down muddy feet before they come in.

SHORT BREAKS: Short breaks are available for a minimum of three nights with flexible changeover days. Don’t worry if you need to book dates that don’t quite fit, just call or email and we will always do our best to accommodate you.
